Tanya Wright
Tanya Wright, Ed. M is a two-time SAG Award winning actress (Best Ensemble). Tanya received her Master's in Education: Learning Design, Innovation and Technology, from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. While there, she won the Harvard Innovative Venture in Education (HIVE) Award, Education Entrepreneurship Fellowship and was a finalist in the Saul Zaentz Early Education Innovation Initiative for the Hairiette project. Tanya is a graduate of Vassar College where she received a degree in literature.
Tanya wrote and directed the Goodnight Hairiette book and musical and created the accompanying Big Hair Reading Bundle.
Millicent "Ma" Fraser
Goodnight, Hairiette is inspired by Tanya’s grandmother, Millicent Fraser. “Ma”--as she was affectionately called-–was a steady source of wisdom, grace and unconditional love. Tanya’s favorite meals that Ma cooked were pot roast, spaghetti and okra soup!
Millicent Fraser was born in Jamaica, West Indies.
